Pechau est un quartier de Magdebourg en Saxe-Anhalt avec 540 habitants sur une superficie de 7,611 km². Le village a été mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 948.
Pechau est situé à l'est de l'Elbe, à la périphérie de Magdebourg, entre l'Elbe, l'Ehle, l'Ancienne Elbe, Kreuzhorst et Klus ; immédiatement à proximité du canal de déviation de l'Elbe et du lac de Pechauer. Le village se trouve dans la plaine de l'Elbe à environ cinq kilomètres de distance entre Magdebourg et Schönebeck, sur la route départementale K1227.
