Prester es un distrito de 5,1586 km² ubicado en la orilla este del Elba de la capital de Sajonia-Anhalt, Magdeburgo, con 2.103 habitantes.
El distrito tiene como límite natural al oeste el río Elba y el viejo Elba, que se extiende desde el borde norte del área boscosa de Kreuzhorst hasta la altura de la Seestraße. El distrito vecino de Cracau al norte está delimitado inicialmente por el dique del Elba y posteriormente por la Leuschnerstraße y la Thomas-Mann-Straße. Al este se encuentran el casi deshabitado distrito de Zipkeleben y Pechau. Prester se sitúa en una zona casi plana entre 45 y 47 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Amplias áreas al oeste y al sur son terrenos agrícolas o en desuso. Al este se extiende un antiguo brazo del Elba, el lago Prester.
