Achtum-Uppen es un barrio de Hildesheim que consta de dos partes: la más grande, Achtum, cuatro kilómetros al este de Hildesheim, no muy al norte de la carretera federal B 6, y la más pequeña, Uppen, cinco kilómetros al este de Hildesheim en la carretera federal 6.
El distrito de Achtum, una antigua aldea agrupada, fue mencionado por primera vez en 1173 como Achtem en un documento, cuando el diezmo de la aldea fue transferido por el obispo Adelog al monasterio de Godehard. El pueblo recibió su propia iglesia en 1195; antes pertenecía a la parroquia de San Andrés en Hildesheim.
