También conocida como la Iglesia Überwasser. El nombre recuerda su antigua ubicación fuera de las murallas de la ciudad al otro lado del Aa (über dem Wasser = sobre el agua).
Construida alrededor de 1340, la iglesia de naves altas cuenta con una imponente torre gótica, de la cual falta el techo en forma de cúpula desde un huracán en 1704.
Las magníficas esculturas del portal de entrada que fueron destruidas por los anabautistas, fueron desenterradas nuevamente en Kreuzschanze y actualmente se pueden ver en el Museo Estatal de Westfalia.
