La Escuela de Teatro de Bochum es la denominación institucionalizada de los programas de estudios de actuación y dirección en el campus de Bochum de la Universidad de las Artes Folkwang.
La institución fue fundada en 1939 como Escuela de Teatro Westfalia de Bochum por Saladin Schmitt, el entonces director del Teatro de Bochum. La institución estaba bajo la tutela de la ciudad de Bochum. Hasta la década de 1970, los directores del teatro también eran, en unión de personal, los directores artísticos de la escuela. En el año 2000, la Escuela de Teatro pasó a ser completamente administrada por el estado de Renania del Norte-Westfalia y se anexó como sede de la Escuela de Música Folkwang de Essen, la actual Universidad de las Artes Folkwang.
