El monumento a los caídos en el parque de la ciudad de Bochum se encuentra en la zona de acceso suroeste del parque de la ciudad de Bochum, cerca de la colección de arte de Bochum.
El monumento a los caídos, diseñado por el escultor de Dortmund Walter Johannes Becker, fue inaugurado el 18 de agosto de 1935 en honor a los "héroes del 4º Regimiento de Infantería de Magdeburgo que quedaron en la Primera Guerra Mundial de 1914-1918". Otras inscripciones en las placas de piedra incluyen "A pesar de la necesidad y la muerte, adelante y hacia arriba". Los lugares mencionados son Fillières, Dannevoux, Argonnes, Verdún, Deuxnouds, Vauquois, Brimont, Flandes, Thiaucourt, Cambrai, canal de Crozat, Beauregard.
