La montaña alcanza una altura de 76,6 metros. Junto con las montañas Detzelschen situadas al noroeste, forma una pequeña cordillera que constituye el límite oriental del valle del Ohre. Cerca de su cima se construyó en 1910 la torre de agua en el Trendelberg. En el área alrededor de la torre de agua hay un pequeño bosque. Al pie de la montaña se estableció en 1811 el cementerio judío de la ciudad.
Al suroeste de la montaña, la carretera de Haldensleben a Satuelle se encuentra, y al este, la carretera de Haldensleben en dirección a Salzwedel. Al norte de Trendelberg se extienden las amplias áreas forestales de la Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide.
