La montagna raggiunge un'altezza di 76,6 metri. Insieme alle montagne Detzelsche situate a nord-ovest, forma un piccolo rilievo che costituisce il confine orientale della valle dell'Ohre. Vicino alla sua cima, nel 1910, è stato costruito il serbatoio d'acqua sul Trendelberg. Nella zona intorno al serbatoio d'acqua si trova un piccolo boschetto. Ai piedi della montagna, nel 1811, è stato istituito il cimitero ebraico della città.
A sud-ovest della montagna, la strada da Haldensleben a Satuelle conduce, a est la strada da Haldensleben in direzione di Salzwedel. A nord del Trendelberg si estendono le ampie foreste della Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide.
