En otoño de 2012, bajo la dirección de la Asociación de Paisajes de Westfalia-Lippe (LWL), se fundó la Fundación Annette von Droste zu Hülshoff. Un objetivo prioritario de la fundación es preservar el Castillo de Hülshoff en Havixbeck, junto con la Casa Rüschhaus en Münster-Nienberge, para el público de manera permanente y desarrollar estos lugares como espacios culturales. Otros objetivos son la conservación y transmisión de los valores culturales e históricos asociados con el nombre de Droste zu Hülshoff, así como el apoyo a las artes y la cultura, la educación y la investigación.
