La torre Bismarck en Lütjenburg, en el distrito de Plön en Schleswig-Holstein, se encuentra en el Vogelberg, también llamado Gojenberg, un punto de 60 m de altura y de gran tradición, el punto más alto de la ciudad de Lütjenburg. Ya en 1719, la hermandad de tiradores, muertos y de incendios estableció en el artículo 1: “El pájaro o Göye se disparará aquí anualmente el miércoles después de Pentecostés en el mencionado Goyenberg.” Desde la colina se podían observar las velas y los barcos de vapor que cruzaban la bahía de Hohwachter. Ernst Willkomm señala en 1850 en "Paseo por el mar Báltico": “Los alrededores de Lütjenburg son ricos en maravillosas vistas, especialmente desde el asta del pájaro.”
