La Torre di Bismarck a Lütjenburg nel distretto di Plön in Schleswig-Holstein si trova sul Vogelberg, alto 60 metri e ricco di tradizione, chiamato anche Gojenberg, il punto più alto della città di Lütjenburg. Già nel 1719 la Gilda dei Tiratori, dei Morti e dei Pompieri stabilì nell'articolo 1: "Ogni anno, il mercoledì dopo Pentecoste, si dovrà sparare qui al uccello o Göye sul chiamato Goyenberg." Dalla montagna si potevano osservare le navi a vela e a vapore che incrociavano nella baia di Hohwacht. Ernst Willkomm osserva nel 1850 in Wanderung an der Ostsee: "Il territorio intorno a Lütjenburg è ricco di meravigliose vedute, soprattutto dalla torre degli uccelli."
