La torre de agua de Bocholt se puso en funcionamiento en 1913 y sirvió hasta octubre de 2004 como depósito de agua potable para el suministro de agua de la ciudad de Bocholt. Su propietario es la BEW, una filial de las servicios públicos de Bocholt. El edificio fue diseñado por el arquitecto Alfred Hensen y está protegido como monumento desde 1984. Alrededor del cambio de milenio, fue remodelado dos veces y hoy es utilizado como aula por la escuela secundaria Albert Schweitzer y como sala de eventos por el colegio profesional de la torre de agua.
