El gimnasio Zitadelle de la ciudad de Jülich es el gimnasio más grande en el área de la ciudad de Jülich. Además, es la escuela más antigua de la ciudad y se remonta a una fundación del duque Wilhelm V el Rico de Jülich-Cleves-Berg.
Actualmente, la escuela tiene aproximadamente 1100 estudiantes y está distribuida en dos conjuntos de edificios, el edificio principal en la ciudadela y el edificio oeste con una nueva ampliación que se completó hace apenas unos años.
