El pequeño Wümme es un afluente izquierdo del Wümme en Bremen. Su cauce ha sido modificado desde el siglo XII debido a la explotación agrícola de Hollerland. Con la construcción de viviendas en Vahr en el siglo XX, partes de su recorrido se incluyeron en el alcantarillado. En otros lugares se hicieron nuevos canales. La parte inalterada del pequeño Wümme entre Horn-Lehe y el Wümme habría sido una masa de agua de marea sin los desagües que datan del siglo XIII en el dique de Wümme. Hoy en día, la Asociación de Diques de Bremen regula los niveles de agua y las corrientes en la orilla derecha del Weser.
