La estación de tren de Seesen es la más grande de la ciudad de Seesen. Además, hay otra estación en el área urbana, la estación de Münchehof.
Dispone de tres andenes, cada uno con una longitud de 140 metros y una altura de 55 centímetros. La estación fue adaptada para personas con movilidad reducida como parte del proyecto "Niedersachsen ist am Zug II" por aproximadamente 2,6 millones de euros: se instalaron ascensores en el andén 1 y en el andén central con las vías 2 y 4. En cada andén hay un indicador dinámico que informa sobre retrasos y otras desviaciones del horario. La antigua estación de mercancías en Seesen ya no se utiliza y está en estado de deterioro. Las vías que ya no se necesitaban para el transporte de mercancías fueron retiradas hasta 2013. La vía 3 de la estación de pasajeros también ha sido desmantelada.
La estación fue conectada a la señalización digital en Göttingen a finales de 2018.
