La finca Rothensiek se encuentra en Leopoldstal, un barrio de la ciudad de Horn-Bad Meinberg, cerca de Detmold y Paderborn en el Bosque de Teutoburgo. La puerta de entrada de la finca, construida en 1687, está protegida como monumento.
En el año 1481, Hermann Trumpe, como molinero cualificado y sirviente del conde lippe Bernhard VII, recibió las tierras que hoy conforman la finca Rothensiek como feudo. En los documentos se menciona a una Ilseke Trumpe, descrita como "sirvienta y bislepersche", quien tuvo al menos 11 hijos ilegítimos con el conde. Si esta era la hermana de Hermann Trumpe en Rodensiek, se explicaría la buena voluntad de su antiguo señor.
