En el Museo Romano LWL del Sindicato de Paisajes de Westfalia-Lippe en Haltern am See se inauguró en 1993. Allí se exhiben los hallazgos más significativos de todos los campamentos romanos a lo largo del Lippe. El campamento romano de Haltern fue uno de los puntos de apoyo más importantes del Imperio Romano durante las campañas en Germania magna. A principios del siglo I d.C. había aquí más legionaros estacionados que en cualquier otro lugar del imperio romano.
