El Blunoer Südsee es un lago residual de minería a cielo abierto de la cadena de lagos de Lausitz en la parte sajona de la región de lagos de Lausitz, en el área del municipio de Elsterheide. Su nombre se debe, por un lado, a su ubicación al sur del pueblo de Bluno, y por otro lado, dada la utilización turística planificada, las asociaciones con el mar del Sur son, sin duda, bienvenidas.
El lago se forma por la inundación del hueco residual "Nordschlauch" de la mina a cielo abierto de Spreetal. Otros lagos en esta antigua mina de lignito son el lago Sabrodter al este, el lago Neuwieser al sur y el lago Bergener al sureste. Cuando el lago alcance su nivel de agua final previsto de 104 m sobre el nivel del mar en 2015, tendrá un tamaño de 350 hectáreas. En marzo de 2011, estaba lleno en tres cuartas partes.
