El Reichsburg Kyffhausen es un castillo de la Edad Media actualmente en ruinas y ubicado en las montañas Kyffhäuser, a una altitud de 439,7 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Se encuentra en la localidad de Steinthaleben, perteneciente al municipio de Kyffhäuserland, en el entorno de la ciudad de Bad Frankenhausen , muy cerca de la frontera con Sachsen-Anhalt.
El castillo lo componen realmente tres edificios situados a diferentes alturas en la montaña, de acuerdo con lo cual adoptan los nombres de castillo superior , castillo medio y castillo inferior .
