El antiguo monasterio de Berich es hoy una ruina sumergida en el embalsado Edersee, que se encontraba en el también desaparecido pueblo de Berich, en el actual distrito de Waldeck-Frankenberg en el norte de Hesse.
El monasterio fue fundado en 1196 por el noble Engolf, conde de Battenberg, como monasterio de monjas benedictinas, fue puesto bajo una protección especial por el arzobispo Konrad I de Maguncia en el mismo año y confirmado por el rey Felipe en 1205. La edificación se encontraba a unos 2,5 kilómetros al suroeste del castillo de Waldeck, en una estrecha colina sobre la orilla norte del Eder. La iglesia conventual gótica fue construida en el siglo XIII.
