El Stift Herford, también conocido como Frauenstift, Damenstift, Reichsabtei, Fürstabtei o Reichsprälatur Herford, fue un convento de mujeres en Westfalia.
La abadía fue fundada a finales del siglo VIII y elevada a la condición de Reichsabtei en 823. En el siglo XII, el Stift logró la inmunidad imperial. Las abadesas de Herford estuvieron por lo tanto más tarde representadas en los consejos del círculo imperial del Bajo Rin-Westfalia del Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico. El Stift también fue miembro del Collegium de príncipes del Rin, y por lo tanto representado indirectamente en los dietas imperiales.
