El alto páramo de Georgenfeld es un páramo alto en la región de los Montes Metálicos, cerca de Zinnwald-Georgenfeld. Es parte de un complejo de pantanos más grande que se encuentra al sur, principalmente al otro lado de la frontera estatal en Chequia, y desde tiempos inmemoriales se ha conocido como "El Lago". El alto páramo de Georgenfeld es una de las áreas naturales protegidas más antiguas de Sajonia.
El Zinnwald-Georgenfeld, ubicado directamente en la frontera germano-checa, se encuentra a unos 45 kilómetros al sur de Dresde y a cuatro kilómetros al sur de Altenberg. La aldea dispersa situada en la meseta del Erzgebirge oriental a una altitud de 780 a 880 m sobre el nivel del mar es el asentamiento más alto de los Montes Metálicos orientales. El alto páramo de Georgenfeld es parte de esta comunidad.
