El Monumento de Niederwald es un monumento situado sobre Rüdesheim. Un teleférico lleva hasta allí.
En 1871, el Monumento de Niederwald fue erigido según un diseño de Johannes Schilling y Karl Weisbach. El monumento fue completado en 1883. El monumento alcanza una altura total de 38 metros y en la cima del monumento se encuentra una estatua de Germania de 10,5 metros de altura, que simboliza la vigilancia sobre el Rin. Conmemora la fundación del Imperio Alemán inmediatamente después de la Guerra Franco-Prusiana. Desde entonces, el monumento es una atracción turística. Fuente: Wikipedia
