Schopflochberg es un área de protección natural designada por la orden del Gobierno de Tübingen del 10 de diciembre de 1993 con el número 4.233.
El área protegida se encuentra en las regiones naturales de Mittlere Kuppenalb y Mittlere Flächenalb. Comprende la cima y las laderas del Schopflochberg, ubicado aproximadamente a 600 m al oeste de Trailfingen. Los pastizales semisecos del área forman un corredor biológico con los pastizales semisecos de otras áreas protegidas en la parte norte de Münsingen: Höhnriß-Neuben, Kälberberg-Hochberg, Seetalhalde-Galgenberg y Eckenlauh-Weißgerberberg. El área de protección es parte del sitio FFH número 7523-311 Münsinger Alb y se encuentra completamente en la reserva de biosfera de la Suábia.
