El castillo de Arras es una fortaleza alta que fue construida a principios del siglo XII cerca de Alf, a orillas del Mosela, en el distrito de Cochem-Zell de Renania-Palatinado.
Durante la tarde de la antigüedad, ya existía en el terreno del posterior castillo alto una estación de caballos romana fortificada, como las que se encontraban en el Eifel y Hunsrück. Pero tras la retirada de los romanos, solo quedó una desolación durante varios siglos.
