Además de la puerta de entrada ("Hunnenporte") y una parte del ala sur, los edificios fueron demolidos hasta 1902. Las columnas del ala oeste de dos pisos del claustro, que se instalaron en 1864 en el Museo Diocesano de Münster, regresaron tras su demolición en 1966. La restauración comenzó antes de 2004. Con la construcción de dos cobertizos junto a la puerta de entrada y la restauración del molino del monasterio, la asociación local intentó mantener viva la esencia del antiguo pueblo monástico.
