Udover porthuset ("Hunnenporte") og en del af sydvingen blev bygningerne revet ned indtil 1902. Søjlerne fra den to-etagers vestfløj af klostertrappegangen, som blev indsat i Diøcesanmuseet i Münster i 1864, vendte tilbage efter dens nedrivning i 1966. Genopbygningen begyndte før 2004. Med opførelsen af to spidse ved porthuset og restaureringen af klostermøllen forsøgte lokalhistorisk forening at bevare karakteren af den gamle klosterby levende.
