Behalve het poortgebouw ("Hunnenporte") en een deel van de zuidelijke vleugel, werden de gebouwen tot 1902 afgebroken. De zuilen van de twee verdiepingen tellende westvleugel van de kruisgang, in 1864 ingebouwd in het Diözesanmuseum in Münster, keerden terug na de afbraak in 1966. De restauratie begon voor 2004. Met de opbouw van twee spiekers bij het poortgebouw en de restauratie van de kloostermolen probeerde de heemkundevereniging het karakter van het oude kloosterdorp levendig te houden.
