Daube se encuentra por encima del Liebethaler Grund, tiene un descenso hacia este. El lugar tiene 74 habitantes, siendo los ancianos la clara mayoría. Daube tiene la forma aproximada de un redondel. En el caso de Daube, en el centro del pueblo hay un estanque de agua para extinción de incendios.
Daube fue mencionado por primera vez en 1378 como Villa Dube. El nombre se deriva con alta probabilidad del eslavo. A través de varias grafías, por ejemplo, Dawbe, se formó el actual Daube. Desde tiempos antiguos, el pueblo ha pertenecido a la parroquia de Lohmen. En 1547 pertenecía al distrito de Hohnstein. A principios del siglo XX, vivían en Daube 72 personas.
