El Cerbisco Berg es una pequeña elevación en el valle de Unstrut, en la carretera de distrito K 220 entre Dingelstädt y Kefferhausen, y se eleva solo aproximadamente 20 metros sobre el valle. Se encuentra en la vertiente oriental de Upper Eichsfeld en la transición hacia el Dün al norte. Al oeste se extiende el antiguo ferrocarril Leinefelde–Treysa con un viaducto sobre la carretera de Kefferhausen, al sur del Unstrut se encuentra el molino de Kerbsche.
El Cerbisco Berg se llamaba originalmente Kirchbergischer Berg y hace referencia a una antigua iglesia en la montaña. A lo largo de los siglos, la montaña se menciona en los documentos con diferentes ortografías. A través de diversas variaciones y omisiones de sílabas dentro del área de dialecto de Turingia, se desarrolló la designación común actual de Kerbscher Berg.
