Großenheidorn es una localidad de la ciudad media de Wunstorf en la región de Hannover, Baja Sajonia, que limita directamente al este con Steinhude. La localidad tiene alrededor de 3000 habitantes.
Großenheidorn se encuentra al este de Steinhude; las localidades se entrelazan sin interrupciones. Además de la localidad principal, hay el pequeño distrito de Großenheidorn Strand directamente en la orilla sureste del lago Steinhuder Meer. Al este de Großenheidorn se encuentran, a aproximadamente 1 km de distancia, la localidad de Klein Heidorn y la base aérea de Wunstorf, que alberga el escuadrón de transporte aéreo 62, equipado con aviones de transporte del tipo Airbus A400M Atlas.
