Fráncfort del Meno,[2] también conocida como Francfort del Meno[3] o, más antiguamente, Francoforte del Meno[4] ), comúnmente llamada Fráncfort,[nota 1] es una ciudad comercial en el oeste de Alemania, en Hesse. Con 763 380 habitantes es también la quinta ciudad más grande del país . De acuerdo con Eurostat, la aglomeración urbana de la que Fráncfort forma parte, cuenta con 2 500 000 habitantes.[5]Aunque la capital administrativa de Hesse es Wiesbaden, Fráncfort tiene una importancia económica mayor.
