Hasta finales de 1920, la ciudad transformó el salón de baile en el antiguo Hotel Glocke en un teatro municipal, complementado con una taberna de vino y el restaurante del teatro en las habitaciones adyacentes. Conciertos, espectáculos de variedades y proyecciones cinematográficas, así como actuaciones de otras compañías, formaban parte del programa de la GmbH del teatro municipal, que existe desde 1923. En 1932, hubo cuatro días de cine y dos días de teatro. En ocasiones también se le llamó UT. En 1934, se disolvió la AG del teatro municipal.
