Jusqu'à fin 1920, la ville a transformé la salle de danse de l'ancien Hôtel Glocke en un théâtre municipal, complété par un bar à vin et le restaurant du théâtre dans les pièces adjacentes. Des concerts, des spectacles de variétés et des projections de films ainsi que des représentations d'autres troupes faisaient partie du programme de la société théâtrale municipale créée en 1923. En 1932, il y avait quatre jours de cinéma et deux jours de théâtre. Par moments, il était également appelé UT. En 1934, la société théâtrale municipale a été dissoute.
