El pequeño pueblo, que contaba con 16 habitantes a finales de junio de 2018, se encuentra al sur del valle de Veischede en una depresión de manantial del arroyo Schmellenberger, que corre paralelo a la Apollmicke. Al noreste se encuentra la fortificación Hofkühl, y al otro lado del Veischede está la fortaleza Jäckelchen.
El pequeño lugar está en la frontera de la ciudad de Lennestadt con la ciudad de Olpe, entre Kirchveischede y Oberveischede.
