El pequeño pueblo de 300 almas de Dranse es uno de los pueblos más antiguos del antiguo distrito de Wittstock y está tranquilamente situado en el parque natural Stechlin-Ruppiner Land.
A Dranse le pertenecen cinco lagos, que no solo hacen palpitar más fuerte los corazones de nadadores y amantes de la naturaleza, sino que también invitan a ricas caminatas. Así, el lago Dranser, situado al sureste del pueblo, se puede rodear completamente por un sendero. En el lado oeste, el camino discurre directamente por la orilla y lo invita a refrescarse. Nadie puede resistirse a los pintorescos lugares de descanso con vista al lago: comida con vista al lago.
