Hasta el 1 de enero de 2007, el municipio de Hanstholm era un municipio danés en el condado de Viborg, en la costa noroeste de Vendsyssel-Thy, que forma parte de la península de Jutlandia en el oeste de Dinamarca. El municipio cubría un área de 216 km² y tenía una población total de 5,786. Su último alcalde fue Ejner Frøkjær, miembro del partido político Socialdemócratas. La principal localidad y sede de su consejo municipal era la ciudad de Hanstholm.
