La antigua Catedral, la iglesia del Sagrario, es una de las más antiguas de Latinoamérica, construido en el año 1557, este bien patrimonial se utilizó como referencia para calcular la circunferencia de la tierra por la Misión Geodésica Francesa. En su interior guarda el primer órgano que tuvo la ciudad, su edificación tiene un estilo barroco y renacentista, hoy en día se ha convertido en un museo de arte religioso y celebración de eventos culturales.
