El Parc de la Ciutadella es el parque más grande de Barcelona. Data de 1888 y contiene una monumental cascada, un estanque y un jardín romántico de estilo inglés rodeado por dos bulevares. Originalmente, el parque era una fortaleza, diseñada en forma de estrella. En tiempos de Napoleón, se convirtió en una prisión. En 1888, el parque se utilizó para la exposición mundial. Durante ese período, se construyeron muchos edificios en el parque. Los jardines y las fuentes fueron diseñados anteriormente por, entre otros, Antoni Gaudí.
