Fuliola[1] es un municipio español de la provincia de Lérida, Comunidad autónoma de Cataluña, con una superficie de 11,1 km², una población de 1225 habitantes y una densidad de población de 110,36 hab/km². Hasta mediados del siglo XIX se denominaba Fuliola y Almenara Baja.[1]
Referente al origen de su nombre, hay dos versiones. Una versión dice que proviene del árabe al-folia, que significa lugar. Otra que su nombre viene de hoja , por eso en su escudo aparece una hoja.
