Numancia de la Sagra, hasta 1936 denominado Azaña, es un municipio español de la provincia de Toledo, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha. Cuenta con una población de 4755 habitantes .Su nombre actual se debe a una modificación de 1936 por parte del régimen de Francisco Franco que no responde a ninguna tradición 'la noria', 'molino de agua', aunque para García Sánchez también es posible y más sencilla su derivación de la voz árabe Faṣ 'campo'.[1]
