Eljas es una villa y municipio español, perteneciente a la de la provincia de Cáceres, en la comunidad autónoma de Extremadura. Está situado al oeste de la comarca de la Sierra de Gata y es uno de los tres municipios en los cuales se habla la fala.Con 936 habitantes en 2017, es el quinto municipio más poblado de la comarca. En su término municipal se encuentra la pedanía de El Soto. La villa es conocida por el Castillo de Eljas.
