Segart es un municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Pertenece a la provincia de Valencia, a la comarca del Campo de Murviedro, subcomarca de La Baronía media. Formaba parte de la comarca histórica denominada Calderona. Esta comarca antigua aparece en el mapa de comarcas de Emili Beüt i Belenguer Comarques naturals del Regne de València publicado en 1934. Hasta el 27 de junio de 1916 se llamó Segart de Albalat cambiándolo por el actual mediante un Real Decreto pero se siguió utilizando el adjetivo 'de Albalat' hasta la década de 1940.[1]
