Plaza de Santa María,
La catedral de Lugo fue construida, sobre los cimientos de 2 basilicas anteriores, desde el siglo XII por Raymond de Monfort y se ha ampliado y remodelado a lo largo de los siglos. Así, se obtiene una mezcla de estilos arquitectónicos. Las principales atracciones son el gran retablo (1531), una representación de la Última Cena y el claustro que es accesible desde la catedral. También hay una sala del tesoro. Se añadió una capilla notable (la de la Virgen de los Grandes Ojos) en la parte trasera, una obra de Casas y Nóvoa (ver Santiago) que se completó en 1726 y que puede considerarse un éxito. En el portal norte románico, el tímpano está decorado con una impresionante figura de Cristo.
