Celso Emilio Ferreiro Míguez nació el 6 de enero de 1912 en el seno de una familia acomodada y fue el menor de siete hermanos. Hizo la carrera de magisterio en Ourense pero nunca la ejerció.
En 1950 se trasladó a Vigo como procurador. En estos años publicó los Papeles de Sor Armadans que dirige Camilo José Cela y colaboró en El Faro de Vigo que por aquellas dirigía Álvaro Cunqueiro.
En 1954 publicó una interesante biografía de Curros Enríquez, de quien se consideraba sucesor. En 1966 emigró a Venezuela llamado por la Hermandad Galega para dirigir las actividades culturales del centro.
Falleció súbitamente en Vigo en 1979 y al día siguiente fue enterrado en Celanova.
