La capilla del Santo Cristo de la Alameda es un antiguo oratorio reconvertido en museo de la ciudad andaluza de Algeciras. El templo fue construido en 1776 por iniciativa del cura Domingo Pérez y gozó de gran devoción por la gente del mar hasta mediados del siglo XIX.[1]
El edificio se encontraba por entonces en terrenos portuarios, junto al río de la Miel y en una de las calles más populares de la época, la Calle Alameda . Esta situación hizo que principalmente los marineros aunque también en gran medida el resto de ciudadanos de la ciudad acudieran a ella y realizaran donativos que permitieran su mantenimiento.
