En 1906, Pablo Picasso llegó con el tren de vapor a la estación de Guardiola de Berguedà. Desde allí enfiló el camino real hacia Montclar, donde estuvo un verano. En esta estancia pintó algunos de sus cuadros con más renombre.
Actualmente, se ha recuperado el camino real que realizó Picasso desde Guardiola hasta Bellver de Cerdanya. Con su estancia en Montclar, actualmente, encontramos un centro de interpretación dedicado a su figura.
