El Arsenal Militar, terminado bajo el mandato de Napoleón III en 1864, fue completamente restaurado y transformado en un auditorio por el arquitecto Ricardo Bofill. La sala fue inaugurada en 1989 por Mstislav Rostropovitch. El Arsenal se ha convertido en un lugar de expresión para todas las culturas, un lugar de encuentros e intercambios.
