Soultzeren, con 1178 habitantes, existe desde el año 900, y su nombre está relacionado con los manantiales de agua salada. Protestante desde 1543, sufrió durante la Guerra de los Treinta Años. Destruida en 1914, hoy alberga una lápida conmemorativa, una iglesia protestante restaurada y una escuela reconstruida en 1924. Existen rutas de senderismo.
