Con una altitud de 1364 metros, el Hohneck es la tercera montaña más alta de los Vosgos en Francia después del Grand Ballon y el Storkenkopf. Se encuentra en la frontera de los departamentos de Haut-Rhin y Vosgos. El GR5 pasa por la cima.
En la montaña hay un refugio de montaña con restaurante y tienda.
